According to the Mirror UK, the woman committed the crime with her hair straighteners and she claimed he let her do it.
The 22-year old lady whose name is given as Bronwyn Parker, said she
and her boyfriend struck a deal that if he ever cheated on her, she
could seek vengeance anyway she deemed fit.
Her lover, whose name was withheld, apparently broke his end of the
bargain and this led to the unfortunate burning which has left him with
injuries which experts say may take up to two years to heal.
Parker, who in her testimony claimed her intention was just to cause
him slight pain, didn’t look nor sound all apologetic; as she told
police she had only left the penis in the straighteners for two minutes.
The lady from Mount Barker, South Australia told the police that the burns did not look too bad.
Her lover reportedly did not seek immediate medical attention,
speculations are that he was too embarrassed to show anyone his ‘swollen
and blistering’ penis.
The accused who pleaded guilty to recklessly causing serious harm, was given a suspended nine month jail sentence.
Paul Muscat, the presiding judge, who labelled the crime as
‘unusual’, expressed bitterness over the fact that the victim is likely
to be ‘scarred for life’.
Muscat said investigations revealed Parker constantly abused her
boyfriend mostly physically, when ever she suspected he was unfaithful
or, if he admitted to extra affairs.
Meanwhile, cases of such violence by aggrieved lovers are becoming
come place. Just few months ago, there was a viral story in which a
woman who found out her partner was cheating on her with a co-worker,
went on to get her revenge in a very gruesome way.
The unnamed woman in her payback, snuck up on her boyfriend while he
slept, and with a camera running, she set the underwear he was wearing
on fire.
